Now that coroner's officials have provided a possible physical description of a victim whose remains were found nearly three months ago near Temecula, authorities are again putting a call out to the public for information.
A hunter found the human remains on Nov. 30, 2012 in a hilly area approximately two miles southeast of the 45000 block of Highway 79 South, Riverside County Sheriff's officials said at the time.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office has performed an autopsy and concluded the victim may have been a white or Hispanic male between 26 and 42 years old, and between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 3 inches tall, sheriff's Sgt. Tyson Voss stated in a news release Thursday.
"The victim had injuries to the left side of his body that never healed properly due to the lack of medical attention," Voss stated. "There were no clothing or personal items located."
Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the victim was encouraged to call Investigator Corey at the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777.
