No Leads on French Valley Stabbing

No witnesses, evidence, blood or signs of struggle were found on the scene of an alleged attack on Auld Road, and police are looking for leads.

 

No evidence turned up for an alleged stabbing in French Valley, and police were searching for leads today.

A woman was allegedly stabbed in the neck while walking her dog Monday on Auld Road just east of Pourroy Road.

Police searched the scene and found no evidence, no blood and no signs of a struggle. No witnesses turned up, and a bloodhound was able to pick up only the victim's scent, according to sheriff's Sgt. Kevin McDonald.

"We don't have a whole lot to go on at this point," the sergeant said.

The victim was hospitalized, but the wound was deemed superficial, and she was released a short time later.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man 5-foot-11 inches tall wearing dark sweat pants and a gray sweater with the hood pulled tight around his face.
