No News Yet on Apple Burglary

Suspects were being sought Friday in the smash and grab burglary at the Apple store in The Promenade.

Burglary suspects who reportedly used a vehicle to smash into the in The Promenade, then loot the place, were being sought Friday, authorities said.

According to Riverside Sheriff's Sgt. Lisa McConnell, there was "nothing new," in the case.

A vehicle was driven through the front door and security gate of the store at 40764 Winchester Road at about 5 a.m. Thursday, sheriff's Sgt. Dean Spivacke said in a news release.

"Once inside the store, several suspects exited the vehicle and attempted to steal various electronics," Spivacke said. "An inventory is being conducted by employees to determine the extent of the theft."

There was no word Friday on how much was lost.

@Vor... You're probably right! Maybe they are driving around Home Depot with a camera and notepad, and haven't checked Patch yet ;)
