Walmart in Temecula was evacuated by police Wednesday night when the store received an alleged bomb threat.
According to Temecula police Lt. Aveling, an anonymous man called , shortly before 10:37 p.m. Wednesday and advised a bomb had been left in the building.
"No further information was provided by the unknown caller," Aveling said, in a news release.
Temecula police officers quickly responded to Walmart and as a safety precaution, evacuated 50 night-time employees while officers checked the building, the lieutenant said.
Officers did not find any suspicious items or packages after conducting a "systematic search" of the store, Aveling said.
Employees returned to work and Walmart resumed business as usual, he said.
