Police Seek Information About De Luz Shooting

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is looking for information on a case they are characterizing as an "attempted murder."

The details about the incident are sketchy, but investigators want tips about a shooting that took place Friday night in the area of Avenida Tierra and Calle Jardin in De Luz.

According to a report from Sgt. Kevin McDonald, sheriff's deputies responded to a 10:27 p.m. call of shots being fired in the area. When they arrived, they found a Hispanic male adult lying in the roadway near a blue car. The man was suffering injuries from multiple gunshot wounds, McDonald reported.

"The victim was transported to a local hospital via ambulance where he remains in critical condition. He is expected to survive his injuries and his name is being withheld pending notification of his family," the sergeant wrote in his report.
