Police Seek Public's Help In Finding Missing Woman

The 78-year-old Alzheimer's patient has been missing since Saturday.

The public was asked today to be on the lookout for a 78-year-old Riverside woman with Alzheimer's disease.

Ella Elizabeth Anderson, who requires daily medication and special care, left her family's residence in the 2400 block of Carlton Place around 2 p.m. Saturday and hasn't been seen since, according to investigators.

On previous occasions, neighbors found Anderson disoriented and not far from home, but not this time, said Riverside police Sgt. David Amador.

"She did not take any of her medications with her and may be in need of medical attention," he said.

Anderson is black, about 5-foot-4 and 165 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

She wears prescription eye glasses, but it's unknown whether she was wearing them when she left her home. Investigators also weren't certain of what she might have been wearing on Saturday.

Anyone with information was urged to contact the Riverside police Missing Persons Unit at (951) 353-7127, or (951) 353-7100.
