Teen On Bike Sexually Assaults Temecula Jogger, Police Report

The suspect was described as a young male adult or teenager with medium-length, dark-colored unkempt hair, approximately 5’8” in height with a thin build, wearing dark-colored shorts and a blue-colored T-shirt.

A woman who was out for a run in Temecula Monday afternoon is reporting she was sexually assaulted during her workout by a male in his late teens, and now police are searching for the suspect.

The 29-year-old woman alleged she was in the area of Honors and Southern Hills drives when she was sexually assaulted by an unidentified male in his older teens who had been following her on a bicycle, reported Sgt. Curt Harris of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

According to the woman’s report to police, the man “pedaled past her, sexually assaulted her and quickly fled the area,” Harris said.

The woman was not injured and was able to run for help and call the Temecula Police Department, the sergeant continued. Police responded to the call at approximately 1:45 p.m.

“The suspect was described as a young male adult or teenager with medium-length, dark-colored unkempt hair, approximately 5’8” in height with a thin build, wearing dark-colored shorts and a blue-colored T-shirt. The suspect was last seen on a black-colored BMX style bicycle,” Harris said. See attached composite sketch of the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing and a search for the suspect is continuing. Anyone with further information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the Temecula Police Department's Detective Bureau at (951) 696-3000.

Wonder if this is the same person who sexually assaulted a woman in the parking lot where Baron's and CVS is located (Rancho California & Meadows Parkway) back in December??
Sunshine January 23, 2013 at 08:18 PM

"What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments." Ladies and men, we know assaults have been going on against runners a few times the past year. GET tear gas, a dog(borrow a neighbors who wants to run), get a running buddy, carry a bat or weights. Do not be a victim of these horrible people who do these things to innocent people out riding, walking or running. I sure hope you are ok "Lady" and I hope they catch this little sick monster, no matter what age he is. If they pick him up and he is identified I hope they throw a book at him, literally, and he gets time behind bars to see how the "BIG" boys do it.

http://temecula.patch.com/articles/police-search-for-sexual-assault-suspect-dceb23b7 Looks very similar "Becca" and story and description is also very close. Very good call and I hope we dont have a "serial" on our hands :/ Runners, walkers, joggers, even going to the mall, market, daylight and have tear gas in hand ladies for your own protection. Definately not being said to cause a panic but any woman NOT carrying pepper spray/tear gas in todays day and age is missing the opportunity to spray the eyes out of one of these creeps.

This was posted at 8:36. Did this happen yesterday? Because I saw it on the news at 9:00 am & it happened at 1:45? Am I missing something? This was right around the corner from me.

Why wasn't the suspect described as a young, brown adult male? If that little POS had been white, I doubt his color would have been omitted.
Gandhi January 24, 2013 at 08:18 AM
I'd like a definition of "sexually assaulted". If she was jogging in a neighborhood, could she not scream for help? What area was this in? We could use a better description. Was this guy hispanic, from the drawing he looks like he might be, but I think they should have put that information in the description. I think all women out running should be carrying pepper spray with them, its a simple thing to take, and could make all the difference. Regarding "tbones" statement above - since we do NOT have "gun control" your comment is totally out of place here, as usual.

This concerns me on a few levels - one that this woman was raped, and it appears we have a history now of this! - two that this reporter states that she was not injured!!!! WHAT THE ?????!!!! Toni McAllister needs to look up the definition of injury - I think that RAPE would definitely qualify as being injured just ask this woman if she feels as if her vajaja is injured...
LBV Collins January 24, 2013 at 03:57 PM
How do you know she wasn't carrying a concealed weapon? Because she didn't shoot him in the back as he peddled away on his bike?
Becky Honkington January 24, 2013 at 05:46 PM
From the article: "According to the woman’s report to police, the man “pedaled past her, sexually assaulted her and quickly fled the area." He may have goosed her. He may have copped a feel of her breast as he rode by. Since the police say she was not injured, I would surmise that there was no physical injury to her vagina.
Becky Honkington January 24, 2013 at 05:47 PM
And Christina - Toni did not state that the woman was not injured. She reported on what the police said. Chill out.
On the right side January 24, 2013 at 06:24 PM
Go back and read again. Where does it say that she was raped?
Morgion January 24, 2013 at 06:42 PM
Christina, it doesn't say she was raped, it says sexually assaulted, sexual assualt comes in many ways, he might have just touched her in a sexual way, that would be defined as sexual assualt too.

Well I agree tbone . LBV if she was carrying then she would of been breaking the law . The new gun law in CA is you cannot open carry anymore . That is why I agree . If you open carry you will be arrested even with the gun unloaded . But if she had been carrying and if the CA law did not hinder us from exerciseing our second amendment she could of poped a shot at him for assault and would of been fine . But on the other hand if he saw a gun on her hip would he have even attempted to do what he did . No because she would of gotten the safety classes before open carrying . So if she saw this per following her she would of right away put her hand on her gun loaded it . The minute this perv saw the actions of a gun being loaded he would of fled like a coward . But no she couldnt have been carrying its Illegal in CA . When I have my guns with me to go shooting they have to be visible in a locked case my ammo has to be in the trunk . When I get pulled over which has happened before . I always inform the officer right away . I slowley get out of the car give him my keys to unlock my guns and inspect them . At no time do I ever not inform an officer . Its being a responsible gun owner and this is the difference between a gun owner and a criminal . I will even ask the officer if he would like for me to sit in back of his car while he inspects my weapons so he doesnt have to like i am a threat and most time the say no . So was she carrying I doubt it .
LBV Collins January 24, 2013 at 09:44 PM
My thoughts, too, Becky... that it was most likely a drive-by goosing...
LBV Collins January 24, 2013 at 09:46 PM
Hi John. I respectfully disagree that "...if she had been carrying and if the CA law did not hinder us from exercising our second amendment she could of popped a shot at him for assault and would of been fine ." As I understand, you cannot shoot at someone who is no longer posing a threat to you.
Gandhi January 24, 2013 at 11:15 PM
I am NOT prejudiced but I believe a FULL description is in order, I dont think ANYBODY can disagree with that one.
Gandhi January 24, 2013 at 11:17 PM
We do NOT know that she was "raped" Christina, hence my query above asking for a definition of "sexually assaulted". He could have grabbed her breast, or done numerous other things as he rode by. Raping take a bit of time, she could have gotten LOTS of attention and help during that as she was in a very visible area with homes around, so I doubt that she was raped, but again, poor reporting, we need the full story here.
Gandhi January 24, 2013 at 11:18 PM
And whats a "vajaja"?????? Nobody said anything about any body part in this story. I feel like I'm playing that old kids game "telephone", you know where something is said and then by the time it gets around through 6 people its totally distorted. Read the article people.
Brenda January 25, 2013 at 03:24 AM
I will agree with that Tbone. As much as you..........rrrrrrr. But I know if I was riding a bike with my hogleg strapped on no one would get near me and I certainly would not use it unless A MAN posed a threat to me. Then I would unload it on him. But just having it is usually deterance enough.
Brenda January 25, 2013 at 03:29 AM
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW A DEFINATION OF ARTICLE, INJURIES because if there is a rapist out here we need to KNOW. IF you look at both pictures and descriptions of this one and then one back in December, they are nearlly identical. Someone needs to stand up and say, "WE HAVE A PROBLEM". Also news is investigative reporting. Going the step further like when the police stop at attacked, the news goes the step further with investigating to say, RAPED. We are typically left in the dark here in our Southwest Corners because it us run by Sheriff's no matter how you look at it.
