and dont annoy a child. Yes they actually have a law against that.

All that noise and commotion for a silly incident like that? For "threats"? Sounds like a child's got access to too many toys. Time to take those toys away or restrict their (over)use, because they're just costing and wasting too much money on nothing.

I got a death threat ..that was so horrific ..you wouldn't believe. 6 months later no results and I even gave them the names and I had the voicemail..What else did they want..happened in murrieta. .so I guess it's ok here just not in Temecula. .lol

This is a ridiculous report. What Now?? Temecula police looking for someone to kill in our area?? We have no shortage of idiots in this area that think they are being threatened when they are bullying, imposing their stupidity, or acting out their intellectual incompetence and are being corrected. What wasn't learned at home or school has now become the job of the police? Maybe they have nothing else to do? Surrounding someone's home is more of a threat, a nuisance, and a ridiculous show of force. Is this some sort of training exercise that would likely wound up with someone being shot?

Oh Lord Steve and here I was thinking I had just maybe talked a little bit of reasoning into him, some sense or the like ya know. Actually this says the guy threatened someone in the house, he was DRUNK, and the police took him in on a 5150, 5250, one of those. So at some point he was a danger to himself or to others. The "surrounding" part could have been due to weapons, otherwise not sure why they thought it was necessary other then what ever the 911 caller said to them. Especially to bring in the air support. Sounds like a lot of nothing to me, like strange sounds coming out of a trash can at Chaparrall? Cant wait to read THAT one.

I guess it must be just me...I personally am thankful to the police department for taking APPROPRIATE action if someone is in a house, threatening his life and others while my children innocently ride their bikes outside. You people crack me up. Oh and by the way for all you people worried about wasting resources...the helicopter goes on patrol all over RIVERSIDE COUNTY. It flies from city to city on a shift in the county and listens to the radio so if there is something he can help with he flies to that city.

We can have twice the number of qualified policemen for the same cost if we cut the current wages by 50%... There's no way a spoiled cop should make nearly $100K a year. There are lines blocks long of people willing to work for half that. Help the economy, demand wage reductions or make layoffs and rehire at lower rate

He'd be fine. Zimmerman is a wannabe cop anyway.

Zimmerman stopped a criminal in his neighborhood.
Brenda January 26, 2014 at 11:19 AM
LOLOL JJ Just what we need in our neighborhoods more hoodlums. Alek, they only make close to that amount if they work all the overtime they can, plus all holidays, and throw in the different shift differentials. My husband made more then alot of cops when he retired from the Navy, well when he was getting his military pay and benefits. Now the people that do make well over 100k a year are some positions at the City offices and THAT Appalls ME!!! Ones that are not putting their lives on the line everyday. I appreciate the fact that anyone has a job in todays jacked up economy but when there is enough pay to pay another half of a person, with no special experience other then training, something needs to be done. I would much rather eliminate some City jobs, and/or cut back on their salaries and hire more police officers and/or traffic enforcement.

ALek, that's ridiculous! I had to read twice to see if you were being serious! And I would strongly disagree about there being any line at all to be a cop. It's certainly not a job that entices or promises rewards of, really, any sort! The last thing I'd want to be is a teacher or a cop--2 careers that get mud whomped all the time and it gets harder and harder to actually do their jobs. I can't see any joy in either---ESPECIALLY at 50k!!! nooooooo thank you. I'm grateful for the people willing to do the job and happy they get paid what they do. and personally, if 100K is all they make…I think they ought to get some raises! Seriously, think about all the crap they have to deal with from jerks all day long, every day….I could never.

Some people will call the cops for just about anything.
