Possibly Drug-Related Crash Closes Roads

Sections of Margarita Road were closed and a man was allegedly overdosing on heroin.

Roads were closed and a man was treated for overdosing on heroin at the scene of a crash today.

Two vehicles crashed around 4 p.m. today at Winchester and Margarita roads, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department dispatchers.

Westbound traffic on Winchester Road was closed, and Margarita was closed in both directions in front of the grocery store.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was treated at the scene for overdosing on heroin, according to a sheriff's deputy on the scene.

The cause of the crash was unknown this afternoon.
