A man arrested in Temecula Thursday is accused by police of multiple drug-related crimes, and it’s not the first time.
Shawn Michael Hayes, 43, was nabbed by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department special investigators at noon Thursday in the 40200 block of Starling Street, according to jail records.
According to Deputy Julio Oseguera, there were no other suspects taken into custody.
According to jail records, Hayes was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence, and committing a felony while on jail release.
He was released on $15,000 bail and is due in court Nov. 7.
According to court records, Hayes was arrested Aug. 9 by Murrieta police officers at the same Starling location and charged with drug possession. He made bail and is due in court Oct. 7 for arraignment, according to court records. Arrested at the same time was 37-year-old Amber Michelle Regnier. She is also due to be arraigned Oct. 7, jail records show.
Court records also show Hayes has been convicted on previous drug charges, as well as child endangerment.
Regnier also has a drug history, court records show.
