Investigators on Serial Burglars’ Trail

Suspects were identified and were being tracked down for their involvement in a string of Temecula burglaries.

The string of crimes happened last month in the housing tract, though none were reported recently, said sheriff’s Cpl. Courtney Donowho.

Investigators are hot on the culprits’ trail, she said. “The investigation is currently ongoing by the detective bureau and it is hoped there will be an arrest (or arrests) in the near future,” she said.

The mother of one of the victims -- who spoke on conditions of anonymity -- said the incident is something she'll never get over.

The man stole only a few items, but he badly shook up the victim’s emotional state. “My daughter is still very, very upset,” she said. “He fled with just a few things, but he took so much more: her sense of security.”
