Robbery at Gunpoint Reported Near Temecula ATM

The incident reportedly happened at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday near the Navy Federal Credit Union at 39826 Winchester Road, Temecula police Sgt. Bill Pratt confirmed.

A person was allegedly robbed at gunpoint near a Temecula ATM, and police investigators are trying to track down the suspect.

The victim had just withdrawn money from the ATM at the bank when they were approached by a suspect wearing dark clothing and described as African American, according to Pratt.

The suspect allegedly brandished a silver-colored handgun while demanding the cash from the victim, the sergeant said.

After successfully taking $80 in cash, the suspect then drove off in a black four-door sedan, possibly a Ford, that had tinted windows.

The suspect was further described as about 6 feet tall with a medium build.

Temecula police investigators are working to obtain surveillance video from the credit union and neighboring businesses in an effort to identify the suspect and/or the vehicle driven, Pratt said.
