Robbery Suspect Sought in Temecula

The unknown suspect is accused of robbing Dairy Queen on Temecula Parkway Wednesday, and attempting to rob three other nearby businesses.

A suspect accused of making off with cash after holding up a Temecula business Wednesday and attempting to rob three other merchants was being sought.

The Temecula Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at 5:31 p.m. Wednesday at , 31845 Temecula Parkway, according to Temcula police Sgt. K. McDonald.

The initial call was followed by three other robbery calls between 5:31 p.m. and 5:51 p.m. at Scrubs and Beyond, , and Payless Shoes, all also located on Temecula Parkway, McDonald said in a news release.

In all four cases, the same suspect entered the business and demanded money while either telling the victim that he had a gun or simulated having a concealed weapon, McDonald said.

The suspect allegedly obtained an undisclosed amount of money from one business, but was unsuccessful in the three other attempts, according to the sergeant.

The suspect was described as white male about 25 years old, 6 feet tall with a thin build and light brown to dirty blond spiky hair. He was said to be wearing a long sleeve red and blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and dark-colored sunglasses with large, round sunglasses.

He may have been driving a white-colored, older model sedan, as a car with that description was seen leaving the parking lot immediately after the robbery. The car was described as about 10 years old and in poor condition, McDonald said.

Anyone with further information about this incident was encouraged to contact Investigator Williams at the Temecula Police Investigations Bureau at 951-696-3000.

Heard the helicopters looking for him... We live up in Vail. It was pretty crazy.

I was shopping in WalMart and my hubby called from the car and said there were cops posted up everywhere and helicopters. When I left I saw a few cops and a heli but it didn't seem any dif than usual other than that.
JJ Mclure August 24, 2012 at 01:35 PM
wasn't there a robbery at Dairy Queen a few months ago?
Jessica August 24, 2012 at 04:21 PM
There was. What the heck is happening to Temecula!
Cononwind August 24, 2012 at 05:41 PM
I saw the police as I was heading to my class and the helicopter. Hope they find him soon. I see that Temecula is getting worse, can't leave your door unlocked or windows open anymore.

WHat Happened to Temecula, just look around. They opened all this low income housing, the Mall, now they want a water park we all know that will attract a great crowd. This use to be a great town now i lock the doors and have cameras around the property, Never thought i would feel the need to keep a gun in the house but i have one now.
Brenda August 25, 2012 at 01:14 AM
Paul you are right. Several houses foreclosed on in our neighborhood alone now have residents that are less then....ahh, well they look a bit troublesome, out all hours of the night and day in groups. We are in what used to be almost million dollar homes for a reason at one time. Not anymore. Temecula and all areas, including Menifee and Murietta have continued to worsen, while Temec was close behind as they moved further south. The drug problem is horrible here and I do not think most who live here even realize that. Also the amount of illegals, and from San Diego up the work camps they shelter themselves in, at times mobile homes on others property. But its not just Temecula its our entire country that has continued to grow in this direction, like "Welcome to the USA the biggest fricking Free For All" you have ever seen. We don't have the laws to keep people in jail long enough, or working when they are doing time, like building the big walls between Mexico and USA. But we can remake laws for bikes that we already have. We can let illegals go to school at the tax payers expense, when we cant get our own kids in college. We let them come in with drugs, let them manufacture more drugs, human marketing and prostitution, burglaries, robberies, and literally destroy neighborhoods as they have no respect for anything. Why should they when they dont have to work for it here, they get it all FREE. You dont respect unless you pay and work for it all your life.

Lets cover this before someone says Brenda is against Mexicans. Or Racist. Yes I AM, and against any other color or nationality that "sneaks" into our country, brings drugs or anything else into this country. I do not care if they are white, brown, green, tan, black, hells angels, white trash, if they do illegal things in this country then I am racist. We have laws againsts illegals. You find them, ship them back. They come back again you put them in jail. Our laws are very clear, but our government is to scared to enforce it, and rather not only allow these people to keep coming here, but building their multi million dollar churches, bring their whole dang family once they drop a baby here on USA soil, get on every aid program we cant even get on in our own country including rehab and mental health facilities, free housing. Our government rather let them in here, yeah we are the USA the land of the free, of education and religion!!! Come here and blow us up! Take over our cities where the only person sitting in a City chair is a Mayor right? Where fireman and police wont go? Our government rather give these countries billions a year to fight their drug wars so the drugs don't get to here. DOH!! Are we that stupid not to know that not only does their Government take the money and guns, they keep shpping drugs here to keep making money! It is so easy to fix, really easy. Racist? hmm yep if you fit the bill.

My children were at the Burger King getting ice cream while my husband and I were at Back to School night. Our 16 year old texted us and said "the police are here and we can't leave yet". She said there were kids on the playground and when the police arrived they were blocked in the drive thru. So scary, this is Temecula not La Habra!
Brenda August 25, 2012 at 06:32 AM
And in broad daylight, going home time, traffic, dinner time pick ups with kids around, could have been very dangerous if they did indeed have a gun. Very wierd time of the day to make a run like that and hopefully they got off the freeway did a circle and got back on and high tailed it back to La Habra. ;)
Sierra Mist August 25, 2012 at 08:22 AM
I just heard about this. How scary! I have lived in this area for many many years and have never ever been around any kind of robbery or street crime and hope that I never will. This is so awful for the people that were there. I do hope he high tailed it back out of here. The people from around here, at least all the people who I have got to know and talk to over the years tend to be good people. They are usually family people who care about one another. I love this area and I really doubt that he is from here.

Now we get up to an attempted rape/assault from last night of a woman riding her bike in east Temecula. :/
Net August 26, 2012 at 04:25 AM
Fight back people, don't let these idiots get away so easily. Most of them are wimps when it really comes down to it I'm sure.

The problem in Temecula is the fact that the "Barney Fife Cops" are too busy hiding behind trees looking to write a traffic ticket instead of being out in the open and showing a presence. We pay way too much in property tax in Temecula to be putting up with this crap. Cops should be required to stay in shape not be fat and over weight, just like our military personal.
Brenda August 27, 2012 at 07:50 PM
Agree 5150 completely. We do pay a horrendous amount of property tax far more then in San Diego and there we had no crime whatsoever where we lived. In San Diego police presense is all over the place always. Here, I very seldom see an officer just driving......nada, nil. Like this morning going down overland, then over the 15, the 4 cars in front of me were doing 60mph on the dot, and the last car a larger black sedan nearly hit a bike rider on the overpass. The bike rider was an older man riding dang near right in the crack between the curb and the street , that L shaped area, totally staying right on the curb and out of the way as far as he could get. The sedan was probably going to the right at least 4 or 5 feet closer then he had to while the rest of us hugged the middle line. Was hoping through that drive to just see one officer, nope. Coming back home, same thing On overland, going at least 60 as they were passing me and hitting the yellow lights like I was standing still. Was thinking the same thing AGAIN, like everyday, where is a cop. Is there some log printed out or something that shows us just what kind of coverage we have at any given time? Like 5 officers on duty around Margarita and Winchester 5 mile radius etc. Would be nice to know just how many we do have on duty and where they are.
KJO August 29, 2012 at 02:05 AM
5150 You said it, I so agree with you completely. The cops in this town are a joke (Most of them, Not all of them)
Jim September 06, 2012 at 10:42 PM
Temecula does not have any cops. We borrow (lease) them from Riverside Sheriff. The ones hiding in the bushes on motorbikes are Sheriff's that simply make money off of us. We do not have "any" cops for an emergency. Those motorcycle cops are not paid to come to a real emergency. They are there only to give us tickets.
Sara September 08, 2012 at 07:06 AM
Brenda if you are against everything that you just said, then why dont you run for president and do something about.
Popeye September 08, 2012 at 04:15 PM
Temecula is the 2nd safest city in America...
Brenda September 08, 2012 at 08:38 PM
LOL Sara that would be nice seriously. 1st I would have a voting system for everyone legal in the USA to vote on all things we need to fix. So each and everyone person makes the choices, not just the president, or the house, or the senate, or the governors, or the Cities. If it was a City issue it would be voted on by that Cities residents and so on and so on. There would be normal average everyday people to fill seats that were generic "For the People" not for democrats, or republicans. OUR PEOPLE. No one affiliated with big companies or big money friends, nope, just normal average everyday people taking up seats. :) Two things I would do right away to get us back in the green is: have all illegals or residents removed within 30 days from our aid programs, and 30 days to go back to their own country. 2nd, would be that all of the companies that have moved all or portions of their companies to other countries to save MONEY, will have to move all those locations back if they want to sell those products again in the USA. Otherwise they can stay in the Philipines and never see the USA again. This includes companies like HILTON who enjoy the personal life and most of their hotels in the USA but have moved all their call centers out of the country. Hilton would be closed down until they are all brought back here and our citizens given their jobs back. This moving of co's back here would immediately get our jobs back and money flowing. U could do it SARA!!
Sara September 09, 2012 at 02:35 AM
Thats funny that you think this country is in crisis because of illegals. When they work they dont claim any thing from social so why do you have to woory about people being here. And when you write comment, why dont you just write a book.
Brenda September 09, 2012 at 02:45 AM
Temecula, it took me a few of these posts to get your point. Yep I was blond before I turned gray. :/
Brenda September 09, 2012 at 03:00 AM
Sara, I have been around for a long while, 53 in December. I believe I know or I feel what brought us to our knees as we are now with 1 in 4 American children without food, and I wont rattle on more statistics about out of homes, jobs, etc as you should know all those. I feel it is is the illegals throughout the years that have taken over this country along with their families friends, babies they have every year to guarantee their ability to stay here and consume our aid programs. I have watched it happen from when I was little and saw them taken back to Mexico on big white buses, down the 5 freeway full of illegals. 2nd when Ronald Reagan said sure, develop these wonderful relations with other countries and help them build their selves up by moving your corporations there. Not only do you save money you wonderful huge multibillion dollar American companies but you will paying people that dont have jobs in these other countries! How much more nicer could we be right to help other countries? The more we help other countries with putting our businesses there, and giving them billions of dollars in CASH money to build up after earthquakes, and help them fight THEIR Drug war, and supply them with foods, medical, schools, on and on and on and on, fight their wars, they will LOVE THE USA and always stand beside US. Well smart companies have done exactly that. Now we lost jobs and revenue all these years. Yes I could write a book, LOL, and I apologize for that.
Brenda September 09, 2012 at 03:03 AM
Oh, also, I re-read your post, illegals have not much to do with social security until they become permanently disabled. Then they do, or retired of course. Actually I believe its Obama's aunt that got shipped back to Africa when they found out she had been collecting aid, social security, and I think it might have been workers compensation during her life, older then him of course. I do not remember this all that well, and you might want to look it up. But she was illegal I believe and managed to live off the resources up to and including social security disability. Let us know what you turn up. :)
Popeye September 09, 2012 at 03:39 AM
Just a reminder Temecula medium income is 89K a year. Also the 2nd safest city in America. One of the the lowest unemployment rate in the county.
Popeye September 09, 2012 at 06:16 AM
Median...:)

Brenda all the info you stated is inaccurate. Those are your opinion which none are true.
