Police were searching for armed bank robbers today.
The armed robbery was reported at 9:16 a.m. Friday at in French Valley near the border of Temecula.
Witnesses told deputies two men with handguns held up the bank and escaped before law enforcement arrived.
Local law enforcement set up a perimeter and dispatched a helicopter and bloodhound to search for the suspects.
The suspected robbers were initially described as two black men. One was wearing a hooded sweatshirt; the other was wearing a ski mask. Temecula police Lt. Rick Young said their descriptions had not been confirmed yet, however.
