Search Warrant Leads to Arrests

A search warrant was served Thursday at a Temecula home in connection to a series of burglaries in the area, officials said.

Two people were arrested Thursday by a team of deputies from Temecula and the county gang task force serving a search warrant.

The investigators served the warrant in the 32800 block of Tully Ranch Road in Temecula.

Deputies from the sheriff's Temecula station have been investigating a series of home burglaries around Temecula between June 23, 2012 and July 4, officials said.

During the search, stolen property from the burglaries -- along with illegal narcotics -- were recovered at the Tully Ranch Road residence, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Kevin McDonald said.

Arrested at the home were Amberdina Trujillo, 29 and Stephen Peterson, 44.

They were both taken into custody on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, credit card theft, and child endangerment. A state parole hold was also placed on Peterson, according to McDonald.
