Sex Charges Filed Against Former Teacher

James Pinckard, 56, of Murrieta, is charged with 13 counts of unlawful sex with a minor, whom police say was a former student of his.

Formal charges have been brought against a former Temecula teacher for allegedly carrying on a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old former middle school student.

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office has charged James Pinckard, 56, with 13 counts of unlawful sex with a minor more than three years younger. He is also charged with one count of oral copulation with a minor and indecent exposure.

Pinckard has been out on bail following his Nov. 3 arrest when Murrieta police allege they found him and the female victim parked in his van behind an industrial complex. Read more about the circumstances surrounding .
