Sex Offender Sweep Conducted By Temecula Police

The compliance checks began at 7 a.m. Saturday when five teams of Temecula Police investigators began knocking on doors, according to Sgt. Kevin McDonald.

Early Saturday morning investigators from the Temecula Police Department conducted approximately 80 compliance checks of registered sex offenders who live in the city. During the sweep it was determined all are following the terms of their court-ordered registration, a sheriff's sergeant is reporting.

The compliance checks began at 7 a.m. when five teams of Temecula Police investigators began knocking on doors, according to Sgt. Kevin McDonald.

"The purpose of these compliance checks was to ensure that the registrants are accurately reporting the home address they are registered to with the Temecula Police Department, and are complying with the terms of their court-ordered registration," McDonald reported.

"Temecula Police investigators found no subjects out of compliance during this operation," he continued. 

"Our investigators will continue to monitor the status of those subjects who have been ordered by the courts to register as sex registrants within our community, and will take all appropriate measures against any subject found to be willfully out of compliance with their registration terms," he added.
