Sheriff Seizes Marijuana Plants in Rainbow Worth $7 million

More than 3,000 plants were seized and three men were arrested and charged with marijuana cultivation.

San Diego Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday seized $7 million worth of marijuana plants growing in the Rainbow community south of Temecula.

Deputies from the sheriff's Fallbrook station obtained a search warrant and inspected several greenhouses at the 2200 block of Rainbow Valley Blvd.

A total of 3,379 marijuana plants with a potential street value of more than $7 million were found and seized, deputies said.

Three men were seen tending the plants and were arrested as they left the property. All three suspects were later charged with cultivating marijuana.
