Suspects Sought in Alleged Burglary of Rifles, Shotguns

The alleged burglary was discovered when officers responded to an alarm call at 1:19 a.m. Monday at Turner's Outdoorsman, 27200 Madison Ave., in Temecula, according to police Sgt. Kevin McDonald.

Temecula police are seeking to locate four suspects who allegedly broke into a local sporting goods store and stole rifles and shotguns.

The alleged burglary was discovered when officers responded to an alarm call at 1:19 a.m. Monday at Turner’s Outdoorsman, 27200 Madison Ave., in Temecula, according to Temecula police Sgt. Kevin McDonald.

Their investigation revealed that four white or Hispanic men wearing hoodies, baseball hats and dark-colored clothing forced entry to the front of the store and preceded to take an undisclosed number of firearms.

The suspects then got into a Ford Expedition and drove away in a northerly direction toward Murrieta, McDonald said.

The suspect vehicle was further described as two-toned, with the upper portion painted a dark color such as black or green, and the lower portion painted tan or cream-colored. The Ford Expedition was also described as having headlights that were tinted blue.

All suspects appeared to be in their early 20s, with thin to medium builds, and ranged from about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, the lieutenant said.
