Three men were in custody tonight on suspicion of burglary and robbery for allegedly stealing $150 in alcohol, trying to rob a man of $1 and taking another man's cell phone.
At 4:41 p.m., deputies were sent to a store at 29530 Rancho California Road, to investigate a beer run by four men who ran in and took about $150 in beer, officials said.
At 7:06 p.m., four men approached two other men in the 27500 block of Ynez Road and demanded money of one victim, sheriff's officials said.
However, that victim only had $1 with him and though the robbers wanted that dollar, the victim resisted giving it to them, a sheriff's information officer said.
The second victim threatened to call deputies and one of the robbers snatched the phone before they all ran, officials said.
Deputies caught up with the suspects a short time later but the victims could only identify three of the men; The fourth was released.
The three arrested were taken to the county jail for booking, according to sheriff's officials.
