Temecula Chiropractor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Patients

Police allege there may be more victims out there and are asking them to come forward.

A chiropractor who has offices in Temecula and Hemet and is accused of sexually assaulting patients was free on bail Wednesday, after having been arrested a day earlier.

Dr. Jeffrey Marrs was taken into custody at his Hemet office at around 11 a.m. Tuesday "after a nearly month long investigation into reported illegal activities," according to Hemet Police Lt. Duane Wisehart.

Marrs, 46, was arrested and booked on suspicion of felony charges of penetration with a foreign object and sexual battery on a restrained party, according to Wisehart and jail records.

Though Marrs was booked on three charges of sexual battery on a restrained party, police believe there may be more victims out there.

"The offenses were reported to have occurred at Dr. Marrs’ place of business and there is more than one victim," Wisehart said.  "It is believed there may be other victims of Dr. Marrs’ criminal activity, and anyone who has more information or possibly feels they may be a victim is urged to contact Detective McNish at the Hemet Police Department, 951-765-2422."

Marrs' Temecula office is located at 41593 Winchester Road, according to the website for his business.

His online bio states that he's a Hemet/San Jacinto Valley native and enjoys sports and family time.
