Temecula Church Scorched By Fire

There were no injuries reported; the cause of the fire is under investigation.

A blaze that charred the façade of Light of Faith Christian Center in Temecula Tuesday night was quickly knocked down by fire crews, according to authorities.

Twenty-six firefighters battled the blaze at the single-story building, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

The fire reported at 10:08 p.m. at 27727 Jefferson Avenue was contained in about 30 minutes.

The California Highway Patrol has a nearby Temecula office on Commerce Center Drive and CHP officers were the first-responders on scene, although Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department was quickly called in, according to a CHP spokeswoman.

There were no injuries reported; the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Hagemann.

Fire crews will be on scene through midnight, Hagemann reported.

Wow, usually people burn the Mormons church down (don't worry, I'm Mormon myself), this time it wasn't. I hope it's not arson. Mormon church in Iowa, broken into, 2 computers stolen, broken doorknobs, and fire extinguisher sprayed everywhere. Messed up people everywhere. They don't have it as bad as us Mormons. Couple years ago, another Mormon church in Washington state was burned down, caught suspects because of HS security cameras. Finally, a High School uses cameras for good.

When I say messed up people everywhere. I mean there are people that are messed up and stupid everywhere. Not saying that the incident caused people to mess up and get their life's ruined.

Give us a break with your mormons are victims crap. If polygamy wasn't illegal you'd all have multiple wives and child-brides. AKA pedophilia. Just dream about going to your Planet Kolob when you die, get your multiple wives and your own planet where you are god. Talk about messed up people.

If god didn't want it to burn he would have prevented it from catching fire!

how very deistic.

Stanley, shut up about your stupid and rude Mormon comments. Don't you have something better to do then insult the Mormon church. Most people don't waste their time insulting other people's religions. And you think Mormons are messed up, your messed up too. Mormons aren't that messed up. Wait, what are you, atheist? Because I can come up with plenty of insults for atheist. And get over yourself about the planet kolob. I know we've gone over this. I know you have an imaginary world where Mormons believe in planet kolob, which they don't. So go back to dreaming about Mormons and planet kolob. And maybe read deeper into Mormon doctrine.

Wait, they aren't messed up at all.

Good evening, Michael. I''m atheist. Curious to hear about your insults. Care to share?
Michael February 15, 2013 at 05:39 PM
LBV Collins, this was all meant to go towards Stanley. I do not wish to insult other people's beliefs and I was never going to insult atheist in the first place. I understand everyone believes in different things and no one should get insulted for what they believe in.

Hmm, i have noticed a trend, for the past few days i have been reading the comments to all these events, and they all end in arguments...but not about the actual event, its about something stupid lol. This is the only event where the comments somewhat stay on topic, i saw a Christopher Dorner Article and 50% of the comments was because someone spelled the word "Couldn't" Wrong LOL

"This is the only event where the comments somewhat stay on topic." Them's fightin' words, Johnny! (Just kidding.) It is common that discussions often veer off course and into new directions. And as you noted, sometimes it's over the silliest things... like grammar and punctuation (and usually accompanied by insults and personal attacks).

My other comments were not accepted. I might also add that I did not make any personal or religious attacks. temecula patch editors aren't as liberal as the editors in my hometown neighborhoods
