Temecula Crash Jams 15 Freeway

An injury crash on the southbound 15 Freeway just south of Temecula Parkway slowed traffic on the wet interstate Tuesday.

The tangle involving a charcoal gray Nissan Titan truck and a silver Chevrolet Aveo compact was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Traffic was backed up about one mile and the number four lane was blocked.

The crash vehicles were off to the right-hand shoulder when first responders arrived, although the truck was upside down.

California Highway Patrol Officer J. Serrano said one person who was in the Aveo was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Rain was falling in the area, but the cause of the crash has not been determined at press time.
