A 28-year-old Temecula man was hospitalized Thursday, following a major injury crash in which alcohol may have played a part, officials said.
Christopher Marion was not wearing a seat belt in the roughly 10:50 p.m. Wednesday crash in the 31000 block of Strawberry Tree Lane, according to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. John Magnan.
A 1994 Dodge Viper driven by Marion slammed into the garage door of a condominium, Magnan said, also injuring his passenger.
Both occupants were taken to area hospitals, Magnan said.
The road was closed for more than five hours overnight, the sergeant said.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation and anyone with information was asked to call Temecula police at 951-696-3000.
