Temecula Man Arrested After Standoff

Aaron Graves allegedly assaulted his mother and 10-year-old brother.

A Temecula man was arrested Monday evening after a standoff with police, authorities announced Tuesday.

Aaron Graves, 29, allegedly assaulted his mother and 10-year-old brother with a hammer and wrench, said authorities who responded to an emergency call around 6:10 p.m. Monday.

Graves reportedly barricaded himself inside a home on the 31100 block of Tecumseh Court, and threatened to physically assault anybody who approached him. Officers deployed a department-trained K-9 to subdue Graves after attempts to use a Taser or Pepper Ball device failed. When he engaged the K-9, officers quickly subdued Graves and placed him in handcuffs, according to authorities.

Authorities said Graves was under the influence of a controlled substance. His mother and young brother were treated by paramedics at the scene, but their injuries were minor. Graves was treated and released from a local hospital and booked at the Southwest Detention Center.

Two officers also suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Anybody with information in this matter is encouraged to contact the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3000.

They could not suffer two unjustified murders on their hands .Look people are getting tired of their unlawfull practices . Ppl want honest cops which their are a slight few .But the rogue cops weigh out the good cops . Yes ppl most of these so called cops need a new uniform . These uniforms need to include a whearmacht helment two lightning bolts on the collar and an iron eagle .

TVOR, here is far and few between: http://www.policemisconduct.net Of worthy note- Los Angeles, California: Seven sheriff’s deputies have been notified that the department intends to fire them for belonging to a secret law enforcement clique that allegedly celebrated shootings and branded its members with matching tattoos. ow.ly/hxDPn

I believe that our local law enforcement officers are good and considerate. As you see in this article, they tried alot of ways to subdue this man, and none of them were shoothing him. i think the task force agents that shot the man in Roripaugh ought to get more training. If they felt so threatened by that man, then they obviously did not have the confidence that they could have used other means to apprehend him or, they just wanted him dead.

LOL! I think its amazing. I grew up with this guy! Saw this coming ALONG time ago. Now everyone wants to act surprised that a nut job like him flipped his lid?!? Mental Health issues gone untreated, and a severe meth addiction that law enforcement and the local community and his family is fully aware of and everyone just waits for him to explode?!? GOOD JOB! just glad he took it out on the ones who ignored the problems and not another innocent unaware person like his previous crimes!

@jessica as a family member of Aaron yes we are fully aware and Aaron has been in and out of jail prison and housed for mental health issues. What is it that you think we can do? You cannot force an adult to get help. Trust me the entire family and authorities have tried numerous times to step in. Thankfully no one was hurt! And how dare you speak of something you know nothing about!

@jessica as a family memeber also how dare you say a 10 yr old deserves this! Why dont we talk to the system that refuse to get him help. Hes not even suppse to be at that house. This happens time and time again The parole officer and the system keep release him there. They refused to put a restrainh order on him. His mother has tried everything ,she written to the jugde the mayor and the senator.so now they have a restraining order in place. So jessica how dare you say they deserve this unt you know the facts. Ps chrs dorner parents deserve the samething ? I dont think so.
