Temecula Man Fleeced After Meeting New Friends At Bar

A Lake Elsinore woman is behind bars for allegedly being in possession of property pilfered from a Temecula man's home.

A Temecula resident who met new friends at a bar got ripped off in the process, police are reporting.

An investigation into the case began May 3, when deputies from the Temecula Police Department investigated a grand theft case in the 28500 Block of Elinda Road in Temecula.

According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. K. McDonald, a man went out to a local bar with some friends and subsequently invited several people he just met at the watering hole to come to his Elinda Road home for more socializing.

“Additional charges are anticipated,” McDonald said.
