Temecula Police Arrest Home Invasion Suspects

Two armed home invasion suspects accused of forcing their way into a home, tying-up, and blindfolding a woman, are behind bars after a 911 call by an alert Temecula resident.

The caller told police that men were unloading items from two vehicles and taking them into a motel room. A description of the items matched stuff that had been stolen during the home invasion robbery.

The home invasion happened at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department release, "The victim reported to the deputies that four suspects forced their way into the home after asking the resident for directions. The suspects brandished a handgun, tied the victim up and blindfolded her while they ransacked the residence."

The victim was able to free herself and call 911. She gave a description of the items stolen.

While the home invasion investigation was still going on, the call about the suspicious motel activity came in. Police were able to arrest two men and recover items stolen in the home invasion.

Aaron Facciponti, 19, of Pomona and Claudio Higuera, 42, of West Covina were arrested without incident. Higuera was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating the terms and conditions of his parole.

The two additional suspects are still at large.
