“The difference is the city’s saving a ton of money on this because the other place they were renting, and this they own,” said Officer John Thomas of the Temecula Police Department. The city rented the space from the Chamber of Commerce, according to records.

The department runs its crime prevention program and provides other services, such as fingerprinting and copying arrest reports. The city’s Community Action Patrol also meets at the station.
