The man who was killed after he lost control of the truck he was driving and careened off Highway 79 this morning has been identified.
Temecula resident Ryan Nakoney, 28, died at 12:39 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
on Highway 79 just east of Sage Road in Aguanga, according to a report from Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.
The coroner’s office reported that Nakoney lost control of the truck and rolled down a hill. He was not wearing a safety belt, the coroner reported.
The truck, which unconfirmed reports say was a Toyota Tacoma, landed about 100 feet down an embankment, according to Hagemann.
As of 3:16 a.m., crews were still working on the scene.
There were no reports of additional injuries.
