Head, Neck Injuries Killed Temecula Woman on 15

Elvia Yduarte, 34, was killed while riding on the northbound Interstate 15, south of Highway 395, shortly before 5 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Temecula woman killed in a crash on a rain-slicked 15 Freeway in Fallbrook died of blunt force injuries to her head, neck and upper body, a medical examiner's report stated.

Elvia Yduarte, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the northbound Interstate 15 -- south of Old Highway 395 -- the San Diego County Medical Examiner's office reported.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Yduarte was riding in the back seat of a 2007 Nissan Frontier pickup with an extended cab shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday.

The truck went off the road, overturned numerous times and landed wheels up in a ravine about 300 feet down, authorities said.

The crash occurred during a heavy downpour and the M.E.'s office in San Diego stated the rain could have played a part in the crash.

An autopsy was underway Wednesday, the M.E.'s office reported.

Was she wearing her seatbelt?
Brenda September 12, 2012 at 07:49 PM
None of the news reports I have seen say whether she was or not. However the two people in the front of the truck had only minor injuries, a 61, and 62 yr old man/woman if I remember correctly. Probably her parents. Very sad story, Rip young lady, and God bless those with her that day and her family and friends.

I refuse to use Google because my kids tell me I HAVE TO. :/ But besides that I figured she had probably went to sleep in the back seat and took off her seat belt. Had two aquaintances die that way but in the front seat, and took seat belt off, and husbands fell asleep on long drives home. One I actually question as if he did it to murder her...........Hmmm me and my whatchamacallit, Stories? LOL

Anita; A LIFE WAS LOST, Family and Friends are mourning. This is NOT the first time I have read your cruel, heartless and evil comments about someone who has passed under horrific circumstances. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. I pray that you never have to read a strangers "Retarded" comments about one of your "Foolish" family members or friend. Your a mean one Mrs. Drink!!!!
Brenda September 13, 2012 at 07:57 AM
Flower Girl, oh Lordie I am not defending Anita, she rides me bad and is mean as the dickens, but she is kind of saying what others think. Simply like" Why in the world would she not have been wearing her seatbelt!!!@!@!@!@!@!@, or the driver refuse to move that truck an inch until she did put one on...!" Some expetivies could be put in there and Anita does and just thinly disquises them. Basically, she says what alot are thinking, but she uses all the verbs, adverbs, and stuff. :/

So sorry for the family
JP September 13, 2012 at 04:30 PM
Um, you do realize that "Anita Drink" isn't her real name, right? It's "Anita Drink" as in, "I need a drink" Just thought you should know.

I agree with FlowerGirl, Anita - I think you should take a serious look in the mirror. I know there must be someone on your life that has died, a friend, a family member. Have some tact and some class. We all know these 'forums' are often spewed with ignorant comments but do you really have nothing better to do than be 'that person'? A human life was lost - have some compassion/kindness/ or atleast enough common sense to kindly shut your noise hole. People like you are what is wrong with this world.

The bottom line is that her passing brought attention to the fact that seat belts do save lives. Good drivers never let their passengers ride without a seat belt.
That Temecula Guy September 13, 2012 at 05:50 PM
It should bring attention to the basic speed law instead so that the seat belt never had to be an issue in the first place.
Linda September 13, 2012 at 07:33 PM
Have any of you sat in the back of a 2007 Nissan extended pickup? If she did have a seat belt on, it still is dangerous period! It is unfortunate and very sad to lose anyone...especially someone so young.
Brenda September 14, 2012 at 01:36 AM
Well thanks JP, shows you how naive I am, because No I didn't not know that. LOL some people are so darn creative to come up with this stuff. And I never get them until someone spells it out for me. :/
Lola September 14, 2012 at 03:25 AM
Don't know why my earlier post was removed, but oh lordie am I glad to see other people speak up about Anita's crude and insensitive comments! Thank you all!

Is this not the deadliest stretch of road? Why is that?

I can't belive what I am reading from Anita Drink. It's not "just" a comment you made about seatbelts. It's how you say "no seatbelts on this fool". How heartless you are!! There are other ways to stress the importance of wearing a seat belt. The first thing you should have said, was how tragic it was that a life has been lost. There is nothing wrong with stressing the importance of wearing a seatbelt and how they do save lives but it could have been done a different way. If you could put yourself in her families shoes, and this happened to be a friend or family member of yours, the last thing you need is to feel any more heartache by reading insensitive posts. A simple: seatbealts save lives, its very unfortunate she didn't have her seatbelt on.....or something along those lines with a heartfelt "I'm sorry the family has to experience the loss of a loved one" would have been a little more appropriate. Why do you enjoy causing an uproar? Maybe it's just me, but I can't find it in my heart to bash someone during such a sad time. I just can't wrap my head around people who feel good by constantly posting jabs here, there and everywhere.
