A 34-year-old Temecula woman was dead at the scene of a crash Sunday in San Diego County, having been thrown from a pickup truck in which she was riding, the Union-Tribune reported.
The crash was reported about 5 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, south of Old Highway 395, according the U-T.
The driver of the 2007 Nissan truck and another woman passenger -- 62 and 61 respectively -- were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, the U-T reported.
The truck went off the freeway and about 300 feet down an embankment, ending up on its wheels on top of a rock, according to the CHP.
Officials said the woman was thrown from the truck's back window.
She may not have been wearing a seatbelt, CHP Officer James Bettencourt told the U-T.
