Truck Smashes Into Tree

The motorist suffered minor injuries in the crash and refused an ambulance to the hospital.

A motorist suffered minor injuries today when the truck she was driving slammed into a tree just outside Temecula, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m in the 46900 block of Rainbow Canyon Road.

The injured woman, a Fallbrook resident, was treated on scene, but declined transportation to the hospital.

Her family was to take her to a hospital, California Highway Patrol Officer Randy Cooper said.

The woman had just gotten off work, which was a short distance away from where she crashed, authorities said.

Witnesses told authorities that the truck swerved from side to side, just before it went off the road and hit the tree, Cooper said.

Alcohol or drugs did not seem to be a factor in the crash, Cooper told Patch.
