Two Accused of Breaking Into Storage Units

Aaron Nixon and Michelle Morgan, of Menifee, were arrested on suspicion of breaking into Temecula storage units.

A Menifee couple was arrested on suspicion of breaking into several Temecula storage units, authorities said today.

Aaron Duane Nixon, 36, and Michelle Morgan, 33, both of Menifee, were arrested at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 29900 block of Berea Road for allegedly burglarizing storage units in Temecula, according to a sheriff's sergeant.

Several break-ins were reported at storage unit businesses in Temecula during February, according to sheriff's Sgt. Vance Stolte.

During one incident at on Winchester Road, the suspects allegedly broke into a locked unit and stole clothes, antiques, power tools, electronics and other collectibles, the sergeant said.

Investigators found several items they believe were stolen from the storage express unit in the suspect's home, according to Stolte.

The suspects also rented a unit at Storage Express, and investigators also found numerous stolen items inside, he said.

Nixon was booked on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics and illegal weapons and committing a felony while out on bail, according to sheriff's jail records.

He made his first court appearance today but it was postponed until Wednesday.

Riverside County Superior Judge Stephen Gallon set bail at $30,000.

Morgan was booked on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics and illegal weapons, jail records indicate.

She has been released on bond for $5,000 and was ordered to appear in court again April 18, records indicate.
