Two Arrested in Elementary School Thefts
Two Temecula residents are free on bail after being arrested in connection to a string of thefts of teacher's wallets and purses at local elementary schools.
Two people have been arrested in connection to a string of thefts from teacher’s purses at three Temecula area schools, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
John Villaran, 21 and Kristy Manriquez, 22, both of Temecula, were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of burglary, credit card theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy, sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin McDonald said.
The thefts occurred at Temecula, Tony Tobin and Luiseno elementary schools.

``Investigators learned credit cards that were stolen with the wallets
were used throughout Temecula to purchase thousands of dollars of merchandise. The investigators were able to develop suspect information at these retail outlets that ultimately led to the identification of the suspects in this
case,'' McDonald said.
Villaran and Manriquez are expected to be arraigned March 16 at the
Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.
