Victim of Alcohol-Related Motorcycle Crash Identified

The victim was an active-duty marine living in Temecula, says the San Diego Medical Examiner.

A marine killed in an alcohol-fueled motorcycle wreck was identified.

David Andrew Gainey, 21, and active-duty marine living in Temecula, died around 5:55 p.m. July 6 at 2038 E. Mission Rd. in Fallbrook.

The victim was speeding east on a 2006 Kawasaki when he lost control on a slight turn and crashed, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner's Office.

He died on the scene from his injuries, and he was drunk at the time of the crash, according to the examiner's office.
