Wildfire Threatens Church

A church and condo complex in the Redhawk area were threatened but Riverside County firefighters responded quickly.

A fire broke out Tuesday at a church and condo complex in Temecula.

The fire was reported around 3:40 on Avenida de Missiones in the Redhawk area of the city.

Flames crept to within feet of the nearby church and a neighboring condo complex. About a dozen firefighters battled the blaze at 3:55 p.m. and a cloud of smoke flooded the surrounding area.

Nobody was hurt and no structures were damaged.
