Wine Country Fire Burns Two Acres

It was contained within half an hour, according to the fire department.

A brush fire burned two acres in Wine Country today.

The fire was reported at 11:25 a.m. at Rancho California and Glen Oaks roads, according to Melody Hendrickson of the Riverside County Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived, they found an acre and a half ablaze and spreading at a “moderate” rate, Hendrickson said in a written announcement.

It was contained by 11:51 a.m., and firefighters were on the scene for cleanup, she said.
