A woman who says a man assaulted her and held her against her will was able to escape and call 911, police are reporting.
John David Allen, 43, was arrested without incident Monday evening at a residence in the 38000 block of Mesa Road, just outside Temecula city limits.
He is accused of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, terrorist threats, assault with a deadly weapon, and arson, according to jail records.
The woman’s identity has not been released by police and it’s unclear what her exact relationship with Allen is.
“After being held against her will for two hours, the victim was able to escape and call 911,” reported Sgt. Jon Wade of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. “The victim concealed herself in nearby bushes until deputies arrived.”
Deputies located Allen inside the residence and took him into custody without incident, Wade said.

I am glad you posted this here as it continues to show us what addictions does to what were normal, great, happy loving people in our lives. They are someones father, husband, child, employee and then they have nothing, tough love, no more enablers, and they do desperate acts to get back the help. It is unfortunate and scary for his wife apparently, who had to go through this traumatic experience with him, but at least now he is locked up(no one get him out), and he will be ordered to get help for his addictions. These are serious charges and hopefully he has hit rock bottom enough where he knows this and takes it all seriousnow that he needs HELP!! Hope his wife is doing ok. :/
All three create violent behavior in the user. Marijuana does not , unless you think laughing and getting laid-bay is violent.
This guy will have some charges dropped especially if he has been having drugs and alcohol problems. They will order he get help for that and have update hearings to see how he is doing and hopefully 100% better, he will end up with some charges dropped or lessened, but the assault on the woman will stick. He did hold her captive 2 hours and assault her, if that is proven to be true, its her decision if the DA can offer him a lesser sentence. Once he has completed all the requirements his last issue to finish will probably be a year stay at a mission or other long term facility. I do not think he will do any jail time unless he has a long record.
Unfortunately to you other posters below me it doesnt matter how nice of a person you were, are anymore. It has to do with how much drugs and what kind are in your system. Now a days people that wouldnt do bad things are doing them left and right and if I can read what you all are trying to say his wife does drugs as much as he does. If that is the case they have a huge mess and he might do jail time just rehab and a living facility after if its all about long time drug abuse.
