"At about 2 p.m. we had a Hispanic female adult show up at the U.S. Bank
inside the Albertson's shopping center; she presented a demand note for
cash, implying she had a firearm—a gun—inside her purse," Fredericks
The woman then walked out of the store with money in hand, the sergeant said.
It was not known if she left in a vehicle, or what type of vehicle it might have been, he said.
with the Southwest Sheriff's Station were investigating the robbery and
were working some leads, but as of 5 p.m. the suspect remained
outstanding, Fredericks told Patch.
The branch was closed while an investigation was conducted, but Fredericks said Albertson's remained open.
The FBI was also contacted because a bank robbery is a federal crime, he said.
