100 Tract Homes Planned for Butterfield Stage Road

The new Paseo del Sol housing tract will include one-, two- and three-story homes.

A 100-home housing tract is planned for the southwest corner of Pauba and Butterfield Stage roads.

Patrick Richardson, the city’s director of planning and redevelopment, will hold a hearing on the tract at 1:30 p.m. today.

Construction and grading was underway to prepare the land.

The tract includes three floor plans, ranging from 2,875 to 3,360 square feet. Twenty-nine houses will have one story, 35 will have two stories and 36 will have three stories. The homes will come in three different architectural styles: Spanish, Tuscan and Italian, according to a city report.

The tract will be a nice addition to the area, according to Cheryl Kitzerow, the case planner. “The proposed architecture and plotting was reviewed for conformance with the Paseo del Sol Specific Plan, as well as compatibility with the existing homes in the adjacent neighborhoods,” Kitzerow wrote in a report.

The builder, Standard Pacific Homes, applied for permits on Nov. 5, revised the designs at the city’s request and reapplied on Dec. 15.

The public was invited to comment on the project. The hearing will happen at the Civic Center. For the location, .
