Californian Newspaper Backs Stone, Buster

The local newspaper's opinion staff says residents should keep the supervisors in place because they successfully navigated the county through the economic downturn.

The Californian newspaper announced today that it backs Jeff Stone and Bob Buster as county supervisors.

The paper cited the incumbents' success in navigating the county through the downed economy as its reason.

"Given the performance of the county during the worst recession in generations ---- an economic downturn that brought many seemingly well-run jurisdictions to the brink of insolvency ---- we urge voters to keep this effective team in place," the article reads, which is attributed only to "The Californian opinion staff."

The paper praised Stone for his vision of expanding Winchester Road and developing Wine Country. "It's a solid combination of passion and fiscal sobriety," the paper reads.

It praised Buster for pulling back the "overly generous" pensions offered to public employees. "Although he has been vilified to a degree by the public employee unions, they ultimately agreed to the pension-reduction proposals," the paper states.
