City of Temecula Sues Companies Over Property Assessments

The city is asking two companies to pay $260,000 in damages.

The city of Temecula filed a lawsuit against two firms—Psomas in Los Angeles and NBS in Temecula—over property assessments in the Harveston II district, according to a U-T San Diego report.

The city claims that the companies "levied assessments on properties that weren’t inside the boundaries of what’s called the Harveston II district, which includes about 1,200 homes. The firms, which handled the assessments from 2005 to 2011, also didn’t collect proper assessments on properties that were inside the district, the lawsuit alleges."
