City to Finalize Liquor Store Ban

The city voted last month to bar any new liquor stores in the city, and one liquor store owner is threatening to sue.

 

The city is scheduled to finalize a ban on new liquor stores.

The Temecula is scheduled to meet tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the to vote on an ordinance that will stop the city from granting anymore hard liquor licenses.

The ordinance was spurred by an application submitted more than a year ago.

They applied for a license to sell distilled spirits, which caused the City Council to approve an on these licenses.

They voted to last month, a move that was called discriminatory by the owners of Stop Quick.

One owner threatened to sue the city if the council votes to finalize this ban.
