The Riverside County Republican Central Committee officially endorsed Rep. Ken Calvert (R-Corona) for the newly drawn , which includes parts of unincorporated Temecula.
"I'm honored to receive the endorsement of my fellow Republicans on the Riverside County Central Committee," Calvert said via an emailed announcement last week. "I look forward to talking to voters about the Republican policies that will get our economy moving again by moving our over-regulating and over-spending government out of the way. It is always a privilege to represent the Party of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, and I look forward to being one of many Republicans elected this year."
The 42nd Congressional District also includes the cities of Eastvale, Norco, Corona, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Canyon Lake, Menifee, Murrieta and a portion of Temecula. The district also includes the unincorporated ares of El Sobrante, Woodcrest, Temescal Valley, Lakeview, Nuevo, Homeland, Winchester, and Aguanga.
