County Superior Court Commissioner Paulette Durand-Barkley ruled Jeffries must strike the part about being the only candidate to oppose raising those taxes, according to the Press-Enterprise.

Incumbent Supervisor Bob Buster -- who is running against Jeffries -- challenged both statements, pointing out that Jeffries is a full-time assemblyman. Jeffries came back by saying he makes most of his money from his family business renting out a commercial property he owns.
