Other facts

I accept no contributions from PACs, lobbyists, corporations or unions, and NEVER will...Only individual contributions, none over $100. As of today, congressman Hunter has received over $350,000 in contributions from PACs alone! More than twice what we pay him in salary. SuperPAC money is unknown, but his father Duncan I, has started one with his Pentagon contractor friends.

Mr. Hunter vowed JOBS were his top priority in the LAST election two years ago. The result - Zero jobs bills, voted AGAINST American Jobs Act to put 1 million teachers, firefighters and first responders back to work. Voted AGAINST equal pay for women. I am opposed to "personhood," the granting of 14th amendment protections at the moment of fertilization which, by definition, and according to the "Life at Conception Act" which was sponsored by congressman Hunter himself and co-sponsored by Todd "Legitimate Rape" Akin of Missouri. I will never attempt to turn my personal religious beliefs into federal law. While some say exceptions for pregnancy due to rape or incest, or ectopic pregnancies, etc. can be made, the law says the CANNOT. NO EXCEPTIONS. No congressman has the right to legally take control of a woman's body, regardless of his "good intentions." Mr. Hunter voted AGAINST the Violence Against Women Act. I support protection for women.

Mr. Hunter supported allowing business owners, based on their own religion, or "sense of morality" to determine what healthcare options, if ANY, employees could have. Mr. Hunter said May 19th in Ramona, that he does not pay attention to the views of his constituents. He votes as HE chooses. "When my ideology falls out of line with the people in my district," said Hunter, "I expect to be voted out.

Unlike Mr. Hunter, I say a corporation is NOT a person. He may support the idea because that's how he funds his campaigns. He and I both know - the candidate who spends the most MONEY wins the election 94% of the time. My vote in Congress, like yours on November 6th, is NOT FOR SALE. The People, the Voters, are still the one power greater than money in politics today. I put my faith in them and in their good judgment, not in a mountain of money.

To Mail-In Voters: If you do not know your congressman well, are from Temecula, San Marcos, Escondido areas, for example, do not fill out your ballots until AFTER Mr. Hunter and I publicly debate on Oct. 23. Only when you know your choices, should you make your choice.

This is my first run for office. I have no interest in becoming rich, and no interest in making this a lifetime job. After gridlock and insanity are ended in the House, our economy is moving, and both parties have done their job, hammered out plans to address our deficit, set new priorities to move the nation forward, I look forward to returning to civilian life.

The 32-year Hunter Dynasty has gone on way too long. It must be ended so other good candidates in the future, regardless of their politics, can have a chance to bring new ideas to this district and its people.
