Republicans Jones, Waldron Win Assembly Races

Assemblyman Brian Jones and Councilwoman Marie Waldron were elected Tuesday.

Republicans Brian Jones and Marie Waldron were both elected Tuesday to the State Assembly.

Jones, who competed against Patrick Hurley for the 71st Assembly District gained 64.48 percent of the votes. Waldron, who competed against Matthew Herold for the 75th Assembly District, gained 65 percent of the votes. According to the Registrar, 100 percent of precincts were reported.

They join the Legislature alongside Rocky Chavez in the 76th Assembly District, Brian Maienschein in the 77th Assembly District, Toni Atkins in the 78th Assembly District and Shirley Weber in the 79th Assembly District.
