An Escondido council woman will run to represent some Temecula residents in the State Assembly.
Marie Waldron was endorsed by San Diego County's Lincoln Club for the 75th Assembly District, which includes parts of Temecula, a spokesperson announced via an emailed statement.
A quarter of the district's residents live in Temecula and unincorporated Riverside County, according to the announcement.
“Marie is a proven conservative reformer who understands first-hand how the disastrous policies coming out of Sacramento have hurt our region’s businesses, taxpayers and local governments,” said T.J. Zane, president and CEO of the Lincoln Club, via the announcement. “Marie’s background, experience and dedication to fighting for pro-growth principles in Sacramento is exactly why the Lincoln Club unanimously endorsed her.”
