Flopped Water Park Plan Resurfaces

A plan for a water park that went belly-up twice in Temecula is being considered again.

A water park plan that fell apart twice is being considered again.

The Temecula Planning Commission will vote tonight at 6 p.m. at the on an application to build a 19-acre water park on Dendy Parkway and Diaz Road.

The park was first approved in 2006 at a different location on Ynez Road near Date Street, but the plan was nixed when a group of business owners won a lawsuit, saying the park would snarl traffic near their offices. To read about it, .

The approved another plan for the water park in 2009, but the approval expired in August without the developer breaking ground.
