Officials with the cities of Murrieta and Temecula are scheduled to
celebrate the start of construction on the Jackson Avenue Warm Springs
Murrieta Mayor Rick Gibbs, Temecula Mayor Mike Naggar and other officials are expected to be at the project site for a groundbreaking ceremony planned for 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16.
Once completed, the long-anticipated project just east of and parallel to Interstate 15 will connect the two cities at Jackson Avenue and Ynez Road.
The City of Murrieta is the lead agency on the project, having awarded a $5.12-million contract on July 16 to Riverside-based AlAbassi Construction and Engineering.
